Joyce was of Christian faith and a member of the Church of Christ in Douglasville, Georgia and Atlanta, Georgia. Joyce was a homemaker and Mother of 4 children. She is predeceased by husband John David Hanie Jr 28 years. A daughter Terri Lynn Weaver. A son Michael David Coney . Parents Mildred and Luther Coggins, Brothers...Robert, Marion, and John Coggins, all of Atlanta Georgia.
Joyce is survived by one daughter Lauri Shennan, husband Leigh Shennan of Powder Springs, Georgia, and a son Howard Leslie Brooks, wife Cindy Brooks of Douglasville, Georgia. 6 living Grandchildren and 2 deceased Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren ,one Sister Marie Settle husband Charles Settle of Carrollton, Georgia, A brother David Coggins, wife Stella Coggins of Winterville, Georgia and a number of Nieces and Nephews .
A memorial for celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date.
