Janet Carol Felter Haeberle, resident of Sugar Hill, GA and
former longtime resident of Saint James,
Long Island, NY, passed away on July 16, 2024, aged 77. She was the loving wife of the late Paul Franklin Haeberle and is
survived by her daughter Jennifer H Burke-Shelton and son Matthew Haeberle. She was a beloved
grandmother to Ashlyn Burke (13), and Anika (12) and Sebastian (10) Haeberle.
Raised in Floral Park, NY, Jan graduated from
Muhlenberg College and later got her paralegal
degree from Adelphi University. She was a real estate paralegal, and owner /
founder of Suffolk Paralegal Services
Inc. Janet (Jan) was known for her love
of the outdoors, her dogs, her horses, and her passion for the game of soccer. Those that knew her called
her a “Force of Nature,” and her passion will
continue in her children and grandchildren. We will miss her sweet
laughter, incredible hugs, strong
character, and her fabulous cheesecake.
A
private ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Salisbury
Cemetery in Salisbury, CT, with a
private gathering to follow for family and friends at the family home in Lakeville, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting
donations be made in her name to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease Research.
